3 - Volume One: Dublin (cont'd)

This is from the bartender at the Brazen Head, the smallest pub in Dublin. It's a Paddy Power card, basically it is like a credit card for betting on the horses.

The lead singer from "The Sick and Indigent Song Club" a talented and eclectic band that were playing at the Ha'Penny Bridge Inn (you guessed it, the Inn (and pub) are near the Ha'Penny Bridge on the Liffy, just at the edge of Temple Bar). This band played at the upstairs pub of the Ha'Penny bridge Inn. They played 40's and 50's country music, had a wide assortment of instruments and were incredibly engaging. We enjoyed their show so much that we returned the next night (more things from peoples' wallets collected on that night).
Oh ... and by the way .... his contribution, as seen above, is his membership card for the Dublin International Film Festival, which took place the previous month.

We stopped for lunch and a pint in a pub called Kruger's in Howth, north of Dublin. We had great shepperd's pie there, by a peat fire. Fireplaces typically burn peat, not wood.

This is Joe's contribution to the "Something From Your Wallet" journal. I think he made the entry while we were sitting in the Tourist Info Centre in Dublin - it's in a remodeled church, very neat.
